WR-134
WR 134, An incredibly dynamic bubble of ionized oxygen resulting from a Wolf Rayet star, imaged in SHORGB under Bortle 1 skies in the Arizona desert.
New Discovery | CHa-1
In my processing of this target, just at the very edge near the top of the frame, I noticed a very faint smudge of Oiii. After some further investigation I found the star, Gaia DR2 2059078897366154496
, a white dwarf candidate star, directly in the center of the object. The nebula itself appears to be yet uncatalogued, not appearing in SIMBAD or HASH. The coordinates are: 20h 04' 10" +35° 36' 12"
. Note the blue-ish appearance of the white dwarf candidate in the following figure. Given it’s heavy Oiii emission signature, proximity to a white dwarf star, and roughly spherical morphology, I suppose that it is likely a Planetary Nebula.
